Week beginning 1st September 2014

1. Reminder to have information ready for Tuesday's class - discussion.

2. Work for Friday. Please download the information on Blogs from the Drive and write a blog on ONE of the following:
i. The major influences on the development of the English language
ii. The contribution made by a specific language (choose one) to the English lexicon?

Please type your work - minimum 400 words. Upload the work to the drive.

Week beginning 8th September 2014

1. During Monday's class you will share the information you noted from the videos.

2. Please complete the checking understanding worksheet on the google drive for Friday's class

3. Please have ready your written text based on Paper 1 work for Friday - section D ONLY Please do not do Section E.

During Friday's class we will work on Paper 1 and continue to explore English as a global language.

Week beginning 29th September 2014

Tuesday - discussion and feedback on Paper 1. The technology worksheet will be discussed during Friday's double period.

A reminder that the Paper 1 analysis on ONE article should be ready for tomorrow's class. in addition to the attached worksheet on language and technology

Week beginning 6th October 2014

All the work for this week has been put on the Google drive in the relevant folders. The key area we will be focusing on this week is Language and Identity.

Tuesday 9th December: Please work on completing your first WT which is due on Friday.


NOTIFICATION: The SAW task will be a Paper 1 analysis. You will have one hour and 30 minutes to complete ONE analysis.

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK: PLEASE COMPLETE AN ANALYSIS OF ONE OF THE ARTICLES ABOUT THE FILM FROZEN.
